Old Misery Trail ... Trail Scenes
Here my friends Sebastian and Howard are wearying their way up Old Misery Trail. Do they look like they are in misery?
Here I am taking a break on the Old Misery Trail in the same place in summer and in winter. I enjoy hiking in all seasons.
Here a large pine fell, and in time its bark fell off it. Both the naked log and the pieces of bark made for interesting images: the grain of the log had a wavy appearance, and the bark had a fractured and holey appearance.
This moss was growing by the side of the trail. Is this two kinds of moss, or is it two reproductive modes for one kind of moss. I think the latter.
Not all of the Old Misery Trail is steep. Here my friend Howard walks on a fairly flat section of trail nestled among a forest of ferns.
