Here the Bartman Hill Trail continues into the park.

Ferns growing by the side of the trail.

Near the Bartman Hill Trail turnoff, I saw some characteristic plants. Ferns are a fairly common sight on the trail. This fern forest comprises what are called Hayscented ferns (Dennstaedtia punctilobula).

Mountain Laurel growing by the side of the trail

Another common sight by the side of the trail is Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia), like this specimen here.
