The hill here is climbing up to Raven Rock from Raven Rock Road, and it is quite stony, and consequently the trail builders enjoyed a lot of raw materials for making these nice stone steps I climbed in autumn.

The view can sometimes have a bleak beauty in winter in the mountains.

Next to the trail there was this intermittent waterfall that was running fast and hard that winter.
