Catoctin Mountain Range ... Hiking North & South on the Catoctin Trail
Sign for Horse Trails
Close to the north trailhead of the Catoctin Trail, this sign was posted, to indicate that local trails here were intended to include horse-back riding. This sign provides information about a side trail to the east. It takes you to Adirondack Shelters that can be reserved for an overnight stay. That horse trail continues past the shelters to revisit the Catoctin Trail at its northern-most trailhead.
