The Holy Ark with the protective wooden doors opened

This is a view of Aron Kodesh (Holy Ark) with the protective wooden doors opened. The curtain is called the parokhet, referring to a feature of the temple that formerly stood in Jerusalem.

The Holy Ark with the parokhet (curtain) opend to reveal the Torahs kept inside it

In this view of the Aron Kodesh, the parokhet has been drawn aside to reveal the Torahs kept inside it. Note that rectangular stained glass windows are showing inside the Aron Kodesh, which seems like a security issue with regard to the safety of the Torahs. The words in gold lettering above the Aron Kodesh say "Know before whom you stand."

An picture of the rosette stained glass window over the Holy Ark

This is a detail of the rosette stained glass window of the Aron Kosesh. Immediately below the rosette are the Ten Commandments.
