Instead of camping in the woods, how about you and all your family and friends living in a fully furnished lodge on top of a mountain with beautiful vistas. One of the cabins of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC) is actually a lodge on top of a mountain near the Catoctin Trail. This lodge has a remote feel to it, and indeed, it can only be reached on foot. As noted by this sign, the cabin is located on private property, so no trespassing, but you can rent it from PATC.
