Views at Swan Cove

The Wildlife Loop goes around Snow Goose Pond, and in previous years when I visited the Wildlife Loop, I found hundreds of Snow Geese. This time, however, when I visited the Wildlife Loop, I couldn't find any Snow Geese in Snow Goose Pond. I wondered if the Snow Geese had given up on Assateague Island, until I visited Swan Cove, not far from the beach, and found them there.

Perhaps it's the clean fresh ocean air. I don't imagine it's the water, since they don't seem too interested in being in the water. Here they are all huddled on that sand bar. In any case, I guess Swan Cove will need to be renamed now.

Looks like I was not the only one looking to get pictures of Snow Geese.
