During Thanksgiving week, you can drive around the Wilflife Loop Road. This is a view of "Snow Goose Pond" from the road. In past years there were hundreds of Snow Geese, but as you can see, there are no Snow Geese now, and the pond is mostly marsh. That is not to say that it is dead; far from it. The marsh is not quite land and not quite water, but full of life. I wonder where the Snow Geese went?
