Check out the Bridge to Assateague
(Gallery Has Three Pictures)

This is the view of the bridge that crosses the Assateague Channel over to Assateague Island. From here you can see Loblolly Pines growing on Assateague.

From the side of the road, you can see the Assateague Lighthouse peeking over the tops of the pines.

From the bridge you can look north along the marshy edges of Chincoteague. Wide stands of Salt Marsh Cord-grass typify much of the edges of both Chincoteague and Assateague, and line the edges of the numerous ponds and bays.
